Hot Trends for a Fall Wedding

August 8, 2017

We see lots of brides now planning their weddings for the fall season. Fall never used to be a popular season for weddings, until recently, and I have a list of hot trends to incorporate if you are planning for a future fall wedding.

Greenery

Did you know greenery was the Pantone color of the year? (also who knew "greenery" was a color??) We have been seeing the use of leaves as more of a decorative center piece instead of an additive in a bouquet. This has been a trend for the past year or so, but we don't see it fading out any time in the near future!

Vintage/Rustic Chic

The vintage glam look has a beautiful balance of feminine aspects, but also plays to the masculine features with the rustic look. We love the use of soft pastels (feminine) with a more rustic atmosphere, like a venue with concrete floors and barn doors (or something similar). This look works great for the fall time!

Metals

Metallics are super modern looking and play well in a color scheme, or lack thereof. We have been seeing lots of brides use gold, silver, or copper as their main color alongside neutrals like gray, navy, or black. It is easy to mix and match metals to keep from getting too complicated.

Simplistic Cakes

This year the un-iced cake has been very popular. Instead of the over the top show stopping cakes, a more simplistic white buttercream cake has become the real show stopper. This again, plays well with any color scheme to make it easier on the bride.
