Wedding days are so memorable, but we don't want them to be memorable for the wrong reasons. Don't panic! I got you. Here's a list of all your wedding must haves if you are a bride to be!
If you are having an outdoor wedding...
My wedding was outdoors (but we did have a backup in case it ended up raining) and I have a hard time walking in heels as it is, so I bought some Solemates on Amazon and thank goodness I did. You never want to suffer the dreaded sinking heel when walking down the aisle. Luckily the heel saver lasted through the ceremony and pictures before breaking down. These didn't last me a long time, unlike the box says, but it lasted me for that day, which is really all I needed them for. If you are an anxious bride, be sure to test them out a couple weekends before (and be sure to order the right size for your heel!).
If you are doing your own makeup...
Lip Stain/Backup Lipstick
Lets be real, unless you are wearing a Kylie lip kit or some Lipsense stay on forever lipstick on your wedding day, your lip color will most likely fade. My makeup artist added a lip stain and then applied a lipstick on top, so once the lipstick wore away, my lips weren't totally bare. I never actually thought about this, but it ended up working out really well. She also left me with a tiny sample of my lip combo to apply before I walked down the aisle! Be sure to have a quick backup to throw on before the ceremony or whenever you need a quick bathroom break, but don't have a lipstick color that you will be worried will smear or end up all over your teeth (or face). Test out your lippies a few days before just in case!
Some awesome lip stains:
Jane Iredale Lip Fixation
Lipstick Queen's Mornin' Sunshine Lipstick- this is a color changing lipstick that will match with the PH of your lips
Lipstick Queen's Frog Prince Lipstick - so does this one
If you are planning on dancing the night away...
I am not good with heels and I knew I didn't want hobble on my honeymoon, so after the first dance, I traded in my heels for some flip flops. I felt so much more comforatable dancing in flat shoes and honestly no one could even tell I was wearing them. Trust me on this one, you do NOT want to spend your wedding night icing your little toes...
If it looks like rain is in the forecast...
Rain boots/ A cute umbrella
It did not rain on my wedding day, so I did not have to use either of these items, but if rain is possibly in the forecast, bring some cute rain boots and a cute umbrella. I heard a story about this girl who lived in South Carolina and a hurricane decided to come through on her wedding day. The wedding still happened (can you imagine losing your deposits due to a hurricane?!) and the pictures turned out beautifully. She made the best of the situation and threw on some colorful rainbows and an umbrella and took her wedding photos anyway. Just because the weather may not be in your favor, make the best of a bad situation and you will be surprised about the outcome.
